You’ll never want to touch supermarket white bread ever again after partaking in Bourke Street Bakery’s Sourdough Masterclass in Banksmeadow. You and your loved one will be guided through a two hour hands-on workshop dedicated to making your very own sourdough loaf from scratch, led by the head baker in small intimate groups. Using a 12 year old bread starter and artisan baking techniques, you’ll finish the class with a taste test of your freshly baked sourdough and a heap of experience for at-home baking like a pro. No previous experience in baking is required for this class; absolute beginners can show up and bake away! No specialist equipment is required either, but make sure to wear clothing that you’re comfortable to completely coat in flour and bring an insulated bag or esky so you can take home some unbaked loaves for the very freshest sourdough possible.
