Sydney Fish Market | Behind The Scenes Tour

  • Corner Pyrmont Bridge Rd &, Bank St, Pyrmont NSW 2009

Connoisseurs of seafood will enjoy an exclusive oppurtunity at the Behind The Scenes Tour at Sydney Fish Market, the largest seafood market in the entire Southern Hemisphere. You and your loved one will be given an all-access tour of the Pyrmont marketplace, covering areas that regular customers aren’t allowed to see. You’ll be led by an experienced fisherman and cook through the bustling auction floor with over 100 species on sale via Dutch auction as well as exploring live sashimi slicing, oyster shucking sessions and other specialist seafood wonders. Sessions begin at 6:40am sharp so you can catch the early-morning frenzy as sellers distribute their freshest catches, ending by around 8:30am. Our recommendation: wear enclosed shoes and pants you can roll up, because the market floor is known to get wet and slippery by the time your tour commences.
